This giant canvas mural measuring 80′ wide by 22′ tall depicts a Texas tyrannosaurus rex holding the new Perot Museum of Nature & Science that will open in Dallas in 2013. You can view a larger photo of the banner here.

The banner, unveiled by 2811 McKinney, was created by artist Douglas Rouse. The Perot Museum of Nature & Science at Victory Park, designed by Pritzker Prize laureate Thom Mayne and his California architecture firm Morphosis, broke ground last spring and is expected to open in early 2013. You can learn more about the museum’s expansion here.
