In the past two years he has performed Speed Paintings for organizations such as the American Heart Association, Coca-Cola, X Games, the Gary Sinise Foundation, U.S. Army, SCAP, Caterpillar Inc., and the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. The painting process is quick, flashy and entertaining, done on a rotating canvas using the fingers, hands or large brushes. Don’t leave your seat during the short performance or you may miss it!
3D STREET PAINTING

2013 marks the release of “PIA Paintings”™- Permanent, Interactive, Anamorphic Paintings. PIA Paintings™ are anamorphic/3D paintings done on canvas that can be easily transported and kept by the client for multiple-use, sold, or auctioned off for fundraising.
MURALS & TROMPE L’OEIL
Any theme, any style, any surface. Based in Colorado Springs now for 11 years, Rouse has painted hundreds of murals locally, both residential and commercial. Some of his public murals can been seen at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center in Colorado Springs, the Pikes Peak Heritage Center in Cripple Creek and at 2811 McKinney Ave in Dallas, Texas. In 2009 Rouse created, and started, the 12 Mural Project, a movement to flood Colorado Springs with twelve large-scale artistic masterpieces. Three have been three completed so far; The Warehouse Restaurant building located at 25 W. Cimarron St., Corepower Yoga Studios at 623 N. Nevada Ave. and the law office building of Alpern Myers Stuart LLC at 14 N. Sierra Madre St.
Although mural painting has been the main focus of his business he is a prolific contemporary artist. His works on canvas, normally larger in format, utilizing mixed media and acrylic latex, can be seen and purchased through the website under Modern Mixed Media.
THE HISTORY OF ROUSE 66
His career began in 1992 while living in Hamburg, Germany. He started as an illustrator for German advertising agencies and a music library company but quickly morphed into a set painter for music videos and commercial film, for such names as Rammstein, Lionel Richie, and Brooklyn Bounce and companies like Premiere, Ford and Audi. Painting large sets became his inspiration to create murals on a large scale.
His nine years in Europe and eleven years in Colorado have meshed into a powerful and reliable artistic direction.
Come, enjoy the journey!
**Anamorphic drawing basically refers to an image that is drawn extremely distorted, and looks “wrong” from most angles, but appears “correct” and three-dimensional when viewed from a particular point.
**Trompe L’oeil (pronounced: trump loy) literally means “deceive the eye” in French, and refers to a painting technique involving realistic imagery, perspective, light and shading which creates a three-dimensional optical illusion on a two-dimensional surface.
