What would a man-cave poker room be without a fantastic vintage mural of the Grand Prix as a backdrop and inspiration of your favorite international coffee on the opposite wall. It’s amazing how a mural can liven up a space and make you like you are in a completely different place. These murals really added some great character to this residential basement. Artist Douglas Rouse had the pleasure of participating in the Colorado Springs Parade of Homes (for info about the Parade of Homes: https://www.facebook.com/SpringsParade/) this year by painting in a beautiful residence located in Cathedral Pines, Black Forest. The Rabbit Hole mural is complete. Come by and check it out! Here is a before and after photo. The beautiful old brick that was surrounding the mural area was unfortunately painted white so “Brickelangelo” was called in to bring it back! The Rabbit Hole
These exterior painted facades roughly 4′ wide by 9′ high are for High Valley Arts in Midway, Utah and their production of Beauty and the Beast December 2015. On one side is the exterior of the village scenes and on the other will be scenes from inside the castle walls. If you find yourself in Midway, Utah this winter, check out the show. Production runs December 11-22. “Beauty and the Beast”

From Scottsdale back to snowy Colorado…just completed two new murals in Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center. Here’s the first one done. It covers 400 square feet of wall and floor space. Viewers are invited to walk on the art and take photos of themselves as if they were really there, back in the Wild West.
